The Centre for Coordination of Clinical Research Network (CCRN) initiates and coordinates the nationwide implementation of a wide range of supporting activities for all types of clinical research in 37 Clinical Research Centres within the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. We play a pivotal role as the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Scientific Review Board (SRB) secretariat.

We also conduct Research Consultation Clinics (RCC) on research protocol and biostatistical analysis, Training of Trainers (ToT) workshops for Introduction to Clinical Research (ICR), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), National Medical Research Register (NMRR) and coordinate ICR’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) talks.

Since 2021, CCRN, ICR has been serving as the Malaysia GCP Secretariat, taking over from the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), Ministry of Health (MOH). The main services are:

  • Addressing all inquiries related to GCP courses.
  • Managing and processing approval applications from the Director-General MOH to conduct GCP courses.
  • Handling all aspects of the GCP examination process.
  • Issuing GCP certificates to participants who successfully pass the GCP exam.
  • Issuing GCP attestation letters.
