Scope of Training and Services
The Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) established its Scientific Review Board (SRB) in 2015. The SRB is responsible for reviewing and evaluating research proposals submitted by researchers from both the ICR and Clinical Research Centres (CRCs) who are applying for the Ministry of Health Research Grant (MRG).
It is mandatory for all ICR personnel to obtain approval from the ICR SRB before submitting their applications to Jawatankuasa Penilaian Penyelidikan National Institutes of Health (JPP-NIH). This ensures that each research protocol meets high-quality standards and scientific merits, thereby increasing the likelihood of securing MRG funding.
The SRB is composed of the following members:
- Chairperson (ICR Director)
- SRB Reviewers*:
- ICR personnel (NIH Setia Alam/CRCs)
- Specialists/experts in relevant fields
- SRB Secretariat*
*Appointed by the Director of ICR
