The Clinical Research Centre Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah (CRC HPSF), Muar, established in 2015 as part of Malaysia's Ministry of Health CRC network, is led by Dr. Noorizan binti Yahya. Officially inaugurated by Dr. Selahuddeen bin Abdul Aziz on October 3, 2019, the CRC exemplifies a dedication to advancing research across diverse medical fields. Beyond conventional healthcare, its mission emphasizes conducting impactful studies that contribute to global medical progress. Located on the 2nd floor of the HPSF cafeteria, formerly a visitor lodge, the CRC is equipped to facilitate research in Muar and neighbouring districts, catering to study and training needs. Its primary role is to foster research initiatives, including Industrial Sponsored Research (ISR), and provide related training. Committed to upholding the standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in clinical research, CRC at HPSF strives to promote and support the significance of research endeavours.

Research Highlights

A Global, multicentre, randomized, double blind, placebocontrolled. Phase III clinical study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and immunogenicity of sequential immunization of Recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Fusion Protein Vaccine(V-01) against COVID 19 in healthy adults aged 18 years and older after the vaccination of 2 doses of inactivated vaccines

This is a Phase III study of a COVID-19 vaccine candidate to determine if the study vaccine is effective in preventing COVID-19 illness as a booster. It was completed within the duration of 1 year form October 2021 until 19 May 2023 with a total recruitment of 99 patients
