The Clinical Research Centre Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah (CRC HPSF), Muar, established in 2015 as part of Malaysia's Ministry of Health CRC network, is led by Dr. Noorizan binti Yahya. Officially inaugurated by Dr. Selahuddeen bin Abdul Aziz on October 3, 2019, the CRC exemplifies a dedication to advancing research across diverse medical fields. Beyond conventional healthcare, its mission emphasizes conducting impactful studies that contribute to global medical progress. Located on the 2nd floor of the HPSF cafeteria, formerly a visitor lodge, the CRC is equipped to facilitate research in Muar and neighbouring districts, catering to study and training needs. Its primary role is to foster research initiatives, including Industrial Sponsored Research (ISR), and provide related training. Committed to upholding the standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in clinical research, CRC at HPSF strives to promote and support the significance of research endeavours.

A Global, multicentre, randomized, double blind, placebocontrolled. Phase III clinical study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and immunogenicity of sequential immunization of Recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Fusion Protein Vaccine(V-01) against COVID 19 in healthy adults aged 18 years and older after the vaccination of 2 doses of inactivated vaccines
This is a Phase III study of a COVID-19 vaccine candidate to determine if the study vaccine is effective in preventing COVID-19 illness as a booster. It was completed within the duration of 1 year form October 2021 until 19 May 2023 with a total recruitment of 99 patients

In promoting rational evidence-based prescribing, prescriptions will be screened and reviewed by pharmacists before medications are dispensed whereby pharmaceutical care intervention (PCI) will be conducted. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and types of PCI detected at an inpatient pharmacy and to identify the stage of dispensing process where the PCI are frequently detected.

Lymphoma of the head and neck poses a diagnostic challenge which may lead to a delay in the treatment. Histological workup of patients with head and neck lymphoma would depend on the primary site. Image guided core biopsy is gaining acceptance as it provides excellent diagnostic yields from cervical lymph nodes.

Catheter related blood stream infections (CRBSIs) is a complication in patients with central venous catheter (CVC) and prolonged CVC dependence. Obesity has been associated with difficult tracheal intubation as compared to normal weight patients. Proper positioning of the obese patient before induction is as such pivotal to successful tracheal intubation. Studies have shown that pre-oxygenation and performing laryngoscopy in 25-degree head up position has improved the safety margin for induction of anaesthesia.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is a complex and technically demanding procedure. Over the last three decades, ERCP has become almost exclusively therapeutic. There are no ERCP standards set for our local setting in Malaysia. Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), a non-profit accreditation organization, selected no show as one of the indicators for ambulatory endoscopy services.
