The Clinical Research Centre Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (CRC HSAH) established in 2015, is a vital entity under the leadership of Dato Dr. SL Vijaya Kumar, a renowned Orthopaedic Consultant and esteemed researcher. CRC HSAH is strategically positioned to serve the Ministry of Health (MOH) facilities in the surrounding central and southern Kedah region, including areas such as Sungai Petani, Baling, Yan, Sik, and Kulim. Key functions of CRC HSAH include supporting and conducting clinical trials, promoting research collaboration, supporting investigator initiated research, training and capacity building, and provides technical support such as data analysis. CRC HSAH serves as a cornerstone of clinical research in the central and southern Kedah region, contributing significantly to medical advancements and the enhancement of patient care. Its strategic focus on local healthcare needs and its commitment to high-quality research underscore its pivotal role in the broader healthcare landscape.
