WhoWe Are

The Clinical Research Centre Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (CRC HTAR) Klang was established in September 2006. Located in the main building of HTAR, the CRC aims to serve as a one-stop research center to meet all clinical research needs. Initially staffed by a head of unit, an admin manager, a nurse, and a research assistant, the center has grown since its inception. Currently, CRC HTAR is led by Dr. Norleen Zulkarnain Sim, a Nephrologist and is recognized as one of the prime sites for clinical trials under the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR), Malaysia. The center’s coverage extends to Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Hospital in Sabak Bernam, Banting Hospital, and the Klang and Kuala Langat District Health Offices. Despite its growth, the center maintains its commitment to ethical and quality clinical research, aiming to improve patient health outcomes. The CRC's vision is to become the leading clinical research institution in the state, encapsulated by its tagline, "Research that Matters to Patients."
